So Who Are We?
We think that we can easily sum that question up in one word: Adventurers. From the moment we had a taste of the outdoors and all the goodness Mother Nature has to offer, we were hooked! An uncontrollable thirst was ignited to explore every mountain top and valley—so it’s no surprise that we eventually looked up to the sky and wanted to know more. We were drawn to the natural wonders of the night sky and determined to learn how to find our way around it! Now that we have experienced the grandeur of an unspoiled night sky, we want to share that with you (and really anyone that’ll listen to us and take the time to look through our telescopes). We’ve set out to create Stargazing and Telescope Tours that unlock an evening of stargazing and astronomy under the canopy of Aspen’s brilliant starry sky—no matter where you may be rooted.

Ryan
Our OG Star Guide and founder of Aspen Stargazing! Ryan’s passion for the stars was ignited under the Milky Way in Yosemite National Park when a weekend adventure turned into a career. During his time in Yosemite National Park, Ryan set out to share the wonders of our universe by creating and developing a stargazing program for two lodges in the area. After seeing the excitement on his guest’s faces while pointing out nebulae, star clusters, other galaxies, and so much more, he knew how important it was to continue to share the wonders of our universe! This passion only grew as he continued to acquaint himself with the night sky on his Pacific Crest Trail Thru Hike, getting an intimate close up with unspoiled night skies. Following his hike, Ryan found himself in the Roaring Fork Valley enjoying all of the natural beauty it has to offer. It was no surprise that he found himself looking up in awe of the celestial adventures waiting to be shared—and with that Aspen Stargazing was born!
